In an effort to provide citizens with information about behavioral health
(mental health, mental illness, substance abuse, and addiction), Mental Health
Center of East Central Kansas staff are available, upon request, to make
presentations to interested groups and organizations. Most presentations are
offered free of charge. Please contact Bill D. Persinger, Jr., Executive Director,
to take advantage of this learning opportunity.
From time to time, Center staff write articles on subjects pertaining to
behavioral health that may appear in local newspapers. Also, the Center’s
therapists and other staff participate regularly as members of various community
and inter-agency groups and coalitions, offering their professional expertise.
Further, several times each year, Center staff are featured on local radio,
providing useful behavioral health information to listeners.
Often, our Center participates in local health fairs, offering informational
brochures at these and similar events.
These trusted organizations provide extensive, free materials about behavioral
